Workplace safety will be discussed in an upcoming “Champions of Industry” segment with host Jimmy Johnson
An upcoming episode of the Champions of Industry television series hosted by Super Bowl winning head coach Jimmy Johnson will explore the topic of workplace safety. Johnson’s new segment will delve into the efforts that American employers take to create a safe workplace for all employees. He’ll take a look at the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act) that aims to protect employees from being hurt or killed while on the job. It establishes and enforces health and safety standards for all workplaces in the United Sates.
This episode of Champions of Industry will also take a look at ways that employees can be proactive to protect themselves against workplace injuries. A worker who believe that his employer isn’t following OSHA rules can file a complaint to prevent future injury. The piece will take a look at these worker rights, existing safety standards and examples of typical workplace hazards.
